 Festool CT Dust Extractors
It All Begins With Dust Extraction.

Festool's philosophy on product design begins with a single principle: dust extraction. From the early stages of product development, dust extraction is a primary consideration which is a cornerstone of our system approach to power tools. With the exception of our cordless drills, all Festool power tools integrate with our line of CT Dust Extractors.

What's The Difference Between A Dust Extractor And A Shop Vacuum?

A dust extractor keeps your work area clean and the air you breathe dust-free. Unlike a conventional shop vacuum that are only effective on wood chips and shavings, the Festool line of CT dust extractors filter 99% of dust particles. The CT 22 and CT 33 models include HEPA filtration which is rated to remove airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in diameter. Can your shop vacuum do that? A clean work environment saves clean up time, and will keep your customer happy when the job takes place in their occupied home. And by extending the service life of tools and consumables, a good dust extractor will directly improve your profitability. Festool dust extractors offer features and benefits like no other brand. Once you have worked with one, you will be glad you made the investment

Festool Owners Group

 by Matthew Schenker, "FOG" Admin

Dear Current and Future Festool Customers,

We all know that Festool makes excellent tools.  Well, these tools have also inspired an excellent community of woodworkers called the Festool Owners Group (FOG for short).  As the administrator/owner of the FOG, I want to extend an invitation to all of you to join us and take part in our lively discussions.

In January 2008, the Festool Owners Group is celebrating its one-year anniversary.  We've come a long way in a short time, with almost 3,000 members, tens of thousands of postings, a growing number of photos, helpful hints, tips and tricks, and lots of good general information about how to make the most of Festool tools and accessories.  Most of all, we've created a friendly, inviting place where everyone's questions and ideas are treated with respect.

FOG members include furniture builders, boat builders, finish carpenters, craft woodworkers, flooring professionals, and almost every other kind of woodworker you can name.  Our members also include a growing list of Festool Dealers who can answer your tool and accessory questions.

Just some of the variety of postings you can find in the Festool Owners Group:

  • Ingenious concepts for jigs and other Festool-oriented inventions that you can build yourself
  • Member projects, with text and photos explaining how Festool tools were used
  • Extensive tool reviews, with illustrative photos and follow-up questions
  • A gallery, where member have “albums” to showcase their work and design concepts
  • Open-ended discussions about basics of using Festool tools and accessories

Whether you're thinking of purchasing Festool tools, or you already own Festool tools, take a few minutes to browse our forum at www.FestoolOwnersGroup.com. To post, you'll need to join the forum.  It's easy, and only takes a couple of minutes. Matthew Schenker

We look forward to hearing your ideas, opinions, and questions.

Sincerely,
Matthew Schenker

Festool Facts - Tested Under The Toughest Conditions

!
 Festool Facts

Tested Under The Toughest Conditions.

Festool performs a test where Arizona dust is blown on a tool in a dust chamber while the tool is running. The time taken for the tool to fail under these conditions is measured. This is how it is determined if the switch, electronic parts and gears withstand the toughest conditions in a dusty environment and meet the minimum durability requirements of the tool.

Arizona dust is supposedly the most aggressive dust in the world.

!
Warranty Change

Effective immediately, the warranty for Festool products is not limited to the original purchaser. The warranty period starts once the tool is sold from Festool or a Festool dealer and ends after 3 years, independent of who owns the tool. Anyone who has purchased a used Festool within the previous three years will be covered.

New warranty cards and the 2008 Festool Catalog will reflect the warranty text below when printed.

"Festool warrants that the specified tool will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a term of 3 years from the date of purchase."back to top
